Ephesians 6:12-13, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Our battle isn’t one we can see, but one we can’t see with human eyes. We do know that the enemy is there. We can also be confident of this truth from I John 4:4 “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” We can stand on that promise even when the enemy is invisible to human eyes.
When my friend’s wife of sixty years passed, he sought comfort by communicating with her via a necromancer. The diviner summoned his wife’s dead spirit – or, was it really his wife? Often, people are curious about psychics and fortune tellers. Venice Beach in California is a popular place to find necromancers. These summoners are deceived into thinking they are conjuring a human spirit. In reality, they’re talking to a demon spirit. People are always wanting to speak with their Aunt Susie who passed away. Little do they realize – they aren’t talking to Aunt Susie! They’re talking to demon Susie! How is that possible? When a demon has been on a person year after year, that demon has an imprint of their personality. When they pass away, the demon has the ability to pretend and masquerade as that person. They can sound like, look like, and talk like them. The demon comes through the necromancer.
